UK energy company Horizon Nuclear Power has secured acceptance for its plan to build the Wylfa Newydd project from the Planning Inspectorate. The company has received four other key environmental permits, which will allow Natural Resources Wales (NRW) to begin assessment of the Wylfa Newydd project. Last month, Horizon submitted its 41,000-page Development Consent Order (DCO) to the Planning Inspectorate. A statutory 28-day period of review was carried out by the authority to ensure it met the standards required.
