A new agreement that aims to unlock opportunities, create jobs and attract new investment in the nuclear industry in South West England and France has been signed. The Memorandum of Understanding between Nuclear South West and Nucleopolis will see the two economic development organisations work together to connect companies with £50 billion worth of nuclear investments in South West England and an annual market in Normandy worth more than £1 billion a year. The nuclear industry in Normandy employs around 28,000 people. Nucleopolis, the nuclear unit of Normandie Energies, brings together expertise of nearly 100 French organisations, covering research and training in the fields of energy, health and risk management.
