The Planning Inspectorate has asked for more information on changes to plans for the proposed Sizewell C nuclear power station. Sizewell C developer EDF submitted the design changes in January, after feedback from earlier rounds of consultation on the environmental impact of the project. The Planning Inspectorate has now requested detailed plans for several proposed changes. These include both the enhanced permanent and temporary beach landing facilities (BLF) and the proposed new design to the crossing over the Sizewell Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), which involves a single span bridge with embankments. It has also asked for a detailed plan of the temporary construction area on the seaward side of the platform extending from the end of the SSSI crossing to the southern end of the main platform, including the ends of both BLFs.
