A renewable energy fund aiming to pioneer a new green investment model is planning a £300 million listing in London. Next Energy Renewables intends to raise the cash to invest in a portfolio of private investment funds with different specialisms in technologies such as solar and wind farms and batteries. The fund will be managed by Next Energy Capital and is expected to announce its intention to float today. It is understood that the fund intends to raise further cash once listed to aim for a £2 billion market capitalisation within three to five years.
