The first edition of the World Nuclear Waste Report (WNWR) – Focus Europe assesses how much waste countries have generated, how much is stored and disposed of. It provides an overview about the estimated costs for management, storage and disposal of nuclear waste and how governments try to secure funding for these costs. Finally, the report presents a short history of how countries worldwide have been struggling up until today to advance in the search for repositories. The report offers a selection of country studies, including the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. To be launched in Berlin on 11th November.
