British citizens are more concerned about the coronavirus pandemic and climate change than threats from states such as China and Russia, according to a global study. Research suggested that 71 per cent of people in the UK were concerned about the coronavirus pandemic, followed by 64 per cent who believed that cyberattacks were the most likely threat the country would face. It found that 60 per cent of people in the UK believed that the destruction of natural habitats and racism and other discrimination would present a serious risk within five years. A total of 55 per cent of citizens thought the same about climate change. Only 42 per cent of Britons believed that China and Russia would pose a major risk over the next five years, followed by 39 per cent who identified Iran.
