Westinghouse Electric Company has announced the appointment of Miroslaw Kowalik as President, Westinghouse Poland, effective May 24. In this role, Miroslaw will lead the company’s plans to invest in nuclear technologies in Poland. “We are pleased that Miroslaw is joining our team,” said David Durham, Westinghouse President, Energy Systems. “His deep experience and knowledge of the Polish energy market will contribute substantially to enable Westinghouse to successfully provide the world’s leading and safest AP1000 technology to Poland’s nuclear power program that will play a leading role towards Poland’s carbon free future.” Miroslaw most recently served as President of Enea, one of the largest energy companies in Poland. He brings more than 20 years of experience in the energy sector, with expertise in business leadership, strategy, new project acquisitions and business development gained while in senior leadership positions at companies including SNC Lavalin, Alstom and ABB.
