Scottish utility giant SSE is to invest €15m in its new operations and maintenance facility for its €2bn Arklow Bank Wind Park Phase 2 offshore wind project. SSE Renewables aims to deliver 2 GW of offshore wind in Ireland by 2030, representing an investment of up to €6bn. It is developing phase two of the Arklow Bank Wind Park, which could be ready by 2025 and power almost 450,000 homes annually. SSE has further early-stage projects, including Braymore Wind Park in the north Irish Sea and the Celtic Sea Array 1 off the Waterford coast, which can be delivered by 2030.
