A £60m pot of funding for large scale green projects is being launched today by the Scottish government in a bid to “attract, retain and develop the low carbon innovators who will shape our future”. The next phase of the Low Carbon Infrastructure Transition Programme opens today for applications from projects which promise to deliver low carbon heating solutions, integrated energy systems, and ultra low emission vehicle charging infrastructure, the Scottish Government explained. Businesses are able to apply for up to £100,000 to develop investment-ready business cases or for financial support of up to 50 per cent of the total capital value of a project up to a maximum of £10m per application. The projects must be based in Scotland and should be aimed at being fully operational by September 2021.
