Scotland can redefine what climate leadership means if MSPs back proposals to achieve net-zero emissions by 2045, Nicola Sturgeon has said. Speaking at the All Energy conference in Glasgow, the first minister said that the Scottish government fully accepted the CCC’s recommendation. Ms Sturgeon also launched a new energy consumer action plan at the conference. It includes setting up an independent commission to give consumers a more powerful voice in energy policy and a charter pledging that consumer issues will be addressed.
