The public should be kept away from COP26 in Glasgow to prevent the crucial climate summit becoming a super-spreader event for Covid-19, former UK chief climate negotiator and scientific advisor has warned. Speaking to i, Sir David King said he would support moves to restrict in-person access to the summit given the threat of Covid-19. Around 30,000 people are expected to attend COP26 in Glasgow, but only around 4,000 of those will be negotiators involved in the climate talks.
