Nicola Sturgeon is in danger of being frozen out of the Cop26 international climate change summit to be hosted in Glasgow as tensions with the UK government rise. SNP ministers would like to be alongside English ministers as part of the UK negotiating team, but Westminster government sources have dismissed that and said that the Scottish government will be granted the same status as other devolved nations. With fewer than 100 days before the Cop26 conference in Glasgow starts in November, it remains unclear what part, if any, the first minister will play in the official proceedings.
