Assystem, the world’s third largest nuclear engineering company, listed on Euronext Paris, has moved its UK headquarters into new premises in Blackburn. The company, which holds key contracts in nuclear new build, defence and nuclear decommissioning in the UK, has relocated to Innovation Park, Blackburn. The move aligns with the business’s growth ambitions that are focused supporting the increasing demand for digital maintenance products, as well as supporting the development of nuclear new-build in the UK. This is alongside their work in defence on a number of contracts with Rolls Royce and contracts within the AXIOM framework, that supports decommissioning at Sellafield. Assystem’s UK teams are also at the forefront of the development of fusion energy through their work on the ITER project in France, the world’s largest research and development nuclear fusion project.
