Six people have been arrested after protestors from Extinction Rebellion have dumped seven tonnes of horse manure outside Northcliffe House in West London, headquarters of the Daily Mail. The campaigners said the Daily Mail was targeted because it is “suppresses the truth from the public” on climate change. A banner reading “Free the Press” was strung up on scaffolding outside the building. The group also attempted to dump seven tonnes of horse manure outside The Telegraph’s offices in central London, but were stopped by the police.

More than 2,000 people marched later from Parliament Square to London Bridge to the offices of News UK, publisher of The Times and The Sun. At least 11 protesters were arrested after slogans were spray-painted on the NewsUK building and the pavement.
