BNFL Privatisation
A new bidder for British Nuclear Group (BNG) is prepared to trump a 400 million pounds offer from U.S. engineer Fluor for the state-owned clean-up business. Now, EnergySolutions, a U.S. private equity-backed firm previously called Envirocare, said it could afford to top Fluor’s offer but that it thinks the BNG business could be worth more if broken up. British support services firm Serco Group Plc is also said to be preparing a consortium to bid for BNG.
