The U.S. government has shut down a Web site it set up in March containing documents captured during the Iraq war after arms experts and officials raised concerns it offered a guide to building a nuclear bomb, The New York Times reported on Thursday.

British Energy, the UK’s largest electricity generator, called on the government yesterday to initiate further public consultation on how much nuclear capacity the UK will need to install and by what date so that the country can meet its national objectives. In its submission on new nuclear energy to the government, the company said the leadership had established a need for nuclear power but had not consulted on the extent and the timing of the nuclear capacity that needed to be built.
