The owner of the former Shell oil depot on Anglesey is developing fresh plans for the giant site. The 200 acre site at Rhosgoch was one of three sites in north Anglesey that would have housed up to 10,000 workers during the construction project. An option agreement was signed between Horizon Nuclear Power and Conygar Investment Company in 2017 with hopes the site could be transformed into a holiday park once the plant was built. Now Conygar, which is also looking to develop a marina in Holyhead, says it is considering its options for the site – with renewables now the focus. They have not stated what type of renewables and when asked if this could include wind turbines on the site, they said “all options” were being looked at.
