Wylfa Newydd developer denies reports that US construction giant has withdrawn from building the nuclear plant. Reports that a US construction giant has withdrawn from building Wylfa Newydd are “categorically untrue” according to Horizon Nuclear Power and the American firm. A Japanese news outlet was reporting on Friday that one of Horizon’s project partners, Bechtel, was pulling out of its key role in the construction of the £12bn nuclear scheme. They said it was due to the rising costs of the Anglesey project.
