South Korea’s Nuclear Safety and Security Commission (NSSC) today gave Korea Hydro and Nuclear Power (KHNP) permission to begin operation of unit 4 at the Shin Kori nuclear power plant. Four APR1400s are under construction at Barakah in the United Arab Emirates. All four are scheduled to be in operation by 2020.
