Latest figures confirm large-scale solar is dormant in the UK. An encouraging number of new installations at the end of 2018 was almost entirely accounted for by the smallest household systems and is probably down to the looming end of the FIT program, which appears to typify the story of British solar to date.

Anesco has begun an internal restructure which will see several business units merged and as many as 18 jobs lost from the renewables firm, Solar Power Portal can reveal. SPP understands that some senior roles at the firm have already been made redundant, while other staff were informed of the news yesterday. Anesco confirmed to SPP that 18 jobs had been lost from various divisions within the company as part of a restructuring effort designed to focus the business more towards battery storage development and asset management.
