Global integrated materials and logistics management company Asco said yesterday it had taken 100% control of fellow Aberdeen firm Norm Solutions in a “logical” expansionary move. The acquired business was founded in 2012 as a joint venture between Asco and John Lawrie Group (JLG). It specialises in cleaning, treatment and disposal services for dealing with oilfield equipment contaminated with naturally occurring radioactive materials (Norm). Asco did not say how much it paid JLG, which is also headquartered in Aberdeen, for its 50% stake.
