Improving Scotland’s network of electric vehicle charging points and boosting its digital connectivity are among the aims of a new strategic plan by the Scottish Futures Trust. The quango, formed in 2008, is a hub for public sector infrastructure and construction activity. The Scottish government wants to increase spending on infrastructure from a projected £5.2 billion this year to £6.7 billion by 2025-26. While reaffirming commitments to improving the delivery of new homes and schools, the new plan, being published today, also lays out ambitions towards planning for a lower carbon and better connected future.
