Clean energy developers Thrive Renewables and Aura Power are today launching a new joint venture to offer battery energy storage to UK businesses free of charge, in return for a share of the resulting revenues. Companies which agree to install battery units could save money by avoiding peak time grid charges, and earn revenues on the batteries by selling flexibility services to the grid, Aura and Thrive said.
