Drax has revealed it is in talks with the British Beer & Pub Association over potentially using captured CO2 from its North Yorkshire biomass power station to help produce beer, following UK shortages of the gas across the drinks manufacturing sector this summer. The UK energy firm plans to begin trialling new carbon capture technology at the Selby power station later this year in partnership with C-Capture, a specialist spin-out from the University of Leeds, backed by £400,000 investment.
